Despite all the problems that For Honor has had since launching, it has still got a healthy community of For Honor Steel Credits gamers across every platform. The subreddit appreciates a bigger number of concurrent users than people playing Steam, but it’s difficult not to feel as the harm is already done.
At its lowest, Siege still had 11,000 players and, to date, sees over 45,000 concurrent For Honor gamers every day. Even though they share a similar DNA and, likewise, similar growing pains, For Honor has a far bigger mountain to climb if it wants to be a match that players are playing years from now. Ubisoft is obviously starting to listen to and take measures to conserve the For Honor game, but it may already be too late.
Ubisoft provided For Honor players a peek at the For Honor game’s future now with the announcement of two fresh seasonal updates, set to arrive in August and November, which will add new heroes, maps, gear variations, and other additional features to the For Honor game. But much bigger than this is the promise of a new”dedicated server infrastructure” that’s coming”down the road.”
Ranked tournaments, which Ubi started testing last month, are also on the way, as is a new four-on-four PvP style and”stronger” training choices. Balance changes will continue to be made, many intended to”improve elements of the struggle system to make assaulting more valuable whilst putting greater pressure on defence.” Some of those changes are actually already in place on the For Honor PTE, which also began a new session today.
Ubisoft stated it is working on making improvements to the existing online system it hopes will enhance overall stability. “We’ve done one patch today to boost stability,” said For Honor game director Damien Kieken said. “We did a few developments also on the patch of past weekwe introduced routers for duel tournaments that will ship through Season 3, to also manage the NAT otherwise. So it’s a continuous work we are doing and we do, until the dedicated servers are utilized in the live atmosphere.”
But it’s the inclusion of dedicated servers that is the big news . Kieken confessed in a blog article For Honor Items has fought with”online struggles” pretty much from the start.
